Hotwoods Fork Lift Blades

spring loaded (sl) Fork Lift Blade

We realized over 20 years ago, that most companies have a power source like a forklift and they are always waiting for someone to come and push the snow off, so they can conduct their daily business. That is when we developed the forklift snow blade, that can be mounted on any forklift in 2 minutes and start clearing the drive.

After using one in our own location for 2 years, we decided that we surely are not the only company that can use this piece of equipment.

We went into production on them and have been manufacturing them every since, shipping them all over the world. We see them being used for so many things other than snow, such as smoothing gravel, dirt and even in recycling centers to push material.

We manufacture them in 3 sizes ranging from 52" wide up to 72" wide.

The spring loaded blade was designed to give the customer the option to be able to have the blade spring forward if it ever comes in contact with a curb or any fixed item under the snow, while pushing. This saves on the blade and keeps from damaging what ever you might hit.

It is easy to say, I know where all my concrete is and where any curbing is, but, put a foot of snow over the area, and it is easy to miss judge exactly were it is. This spring loaded blade will help in keeping that from becoming a problem.

ridged mount (sR) Fork Lift Blade

The standard forklift blade was actually the first blade we ever built to move our own snow in front of our buildings here at Hotwood's in Grand Island, Ne.

Our standard blades are a ridged mounted unit that will work on your forklift exactly like the spring loaded model with the exception they do not have the springs mounted on each side of the blade that lets it roll over and spring back if you hit something solid while pushing snow or what ever you are using it for.

This blade is perfect for the person who is not worried about needing that spring action option. That is someone that has a huge concrete apron, without curbing, or is using it for something entirely different where being ridged is not a problem.

This blade will mount the same way all our blades mount, by running your fork teeth into the channel iron that protrudes off the rear of the blade and then tightening the 4 set bolts in place on the top of the channel iron mounts. Mounting or dismounting this blade takes less than 2 minutes.

Our standard ridged mount forklift blades come in 4 sizes, 52", 65", 72" 96". Pricing is below, under SR pricing. Call for shipping quotes.

BLADE FEATURES:

All steel construction.

Ridged mount. ( no springs for trip action )

15 degree Angle forklift Blade

As shown above, setting the angle left or right is as easy as pulling 1 pin and swinging the blade back 15 degrees and putting the pin back in the hole to secure the angle of the blade.

Top view of the 65" angle blade shows the angle set to the right. This angle can also be turned out to the left the same degree.

The angle left or right is 15 degree.

This blade is also spring loaded like the SL models. It will fold forward if it comes in contact with a solid object and spring back to upright position.

Hotwoods, manufactures our angle blade in 3 different widths starting at 52" to 72".

It is very important to know your forklift teeth width, prior to ordering your blade.

In the photo above you can see how the angled blade will fold forward when need and then spring back to the upright position, as you back away.

"Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I thank you for a great product. We purchased a forklift mounted snow blade from you about 2 or 3 years ago. I had the blade into action this week after a 19.27” blizzard here in Amarillo, TX. Some areas got only 12” of snow but check out these pictures of what this blade did to the snow drift that was outside our office. This little blade moved the snow so customers could see the front door and have a place to park."

Thanks again!
